Am I being too nice ?

I’ve been helping out this girl who’s currently 9 months pregnant and has a 1 year old son by giving her money for diapers,wipes, etc ... While her child’s father decided to quit his job because he was afraid he wouldn’t be able to stay faithful surrounded by women

Here’s what I learned (the hard way). When you lend someone money, even though it’s nice & you don’t expect to get paid back, they keep coming back for more. Then you end up giving more because they’re in a tight spot. They’ll soon start asking for help with even more stuff, & when you finally can’t do it anymore, they call you a horrible person & make up the excuse “why can’t you help me anymore? You always have! What’s different this time?” Then when you tell them “well I’m having my own problems” they drop you & never speak to you again. So not only are you out of a lot of money, but when you have a hard time, they just say “well you didn’t help me when I need it.” And continue to ghost you. I’ve had 6 ppl do this to me, so yea, I’m bitter & I refuse to help anymore without a written statement saying they’ll pay me back in X amount of time.

If she's not married she can probably qualify for cash assistance and/or TANF which would give her her own money for diapers and wipes.
