Now I'm just confused!

Why do we do this to ourselves ladies?! Ok so though I was out this month because I started spotting on a day that I was helping a friend move. The next day it was way lighter... The next day it was hardly existent... This AM I took a test and it appeared negative after a minute or so, so I threw it out and took a shower. An hour later (I know I know) I dug it out of the trash and it had the faintest second line on it! AF is due 9/3, I got a positive ovulation test on 8/19 so I'm about 13 dpo. I know I should test again but want to wait until tomorrow youse FMU with the FRER that I bought on the way into work... Thoughts? Experiences?
