My husband hates it so much we got rid of names that might have Jerry as a nickname. I think it's cute! Just curious what the consensus is on the name!

What would “Jerry” be a nickname for?

My nickname is Jeri. It was awful growing up with chants of, "Jerrry, Jerry, Jerry, Jerry!" From the Jerry Springer show. It was the only annoyance. The show probably won't be around when your kid grows up so it probably wont ne an issue there.

There's nothing wrong with the name, just not something I would personally pick. Only cause my husband is obsessed with Seinfeld 😆

I went to school with fraternal twins, Mary and Jerry. That's the only time I've heard the name. So it's definitely uncommon, in a sense, but not one I'd use. It seems too "old".
