Ok so my baby’s dad and I aren’t together but we don’t want to go to court for support. He works full time at factory and I work part time. How much support should I ask for? I said 50 a week, I don’t think 200 a month is that bad especially since I’m buying a house for me and her. Any opinions? From Indiana btw.

This is why you involve the courts. There’s a formula to decide what’s fair based on both incomes, and they enforce it. He will think it’s too much, and you’ll think it’s too little. It won’t end well. 
Why no courts? Have you already told the state you don’t know who the dad is for other government assistance?

Yeah it should be more than $200/month even if cost of living is cheap in Indiana.

My friend here (in Ca) gets $900 a month from her baby daddy. I believe it’s calculated at a percent of their income and maybe depending on location. She took him to court for this because what he offered wasn’t enough (in her opinion).

There should be some type of child support calculator for your state u input the info in and it spits out a number. A lot of courts go off if them.

I’m Australia it’s based off income, costs of the age of the child and how much care the father has. My ex has our daughter fortnightly for 2 nights and pays 400 a month

$50 a week is CHEAP so don't let him whine. You can go to your state's child support website and calculate roughly what they would order him to pay.

There should be an online calculator for your state. If you know how much he makes, it will tell you what you should be getting. Why are you opposed to going through the court? You may need to in order to get the support your child deserves.
