So recently everything has been going great through my pregnancy. I had my 18 week ultrasound yesterday and we found out terrible news. Our son has little to no amniotic fluid and his kidneys are the 4x the size they should be which means his lungs can’t develop. The doctor kept talking about how most women would terminate but I don’t want to do that. He said he most likely wouldn’t make it to labor and if he did there was a high chance there would be a still birth. If he made it through that he would immediately go on dialysis and need a kidney transplant. Today we get the call when we can go into Boston for more testing. Has anyone else experienced something similar? If so, what happened? I’m so scared and I don’t want to lose him.
