Not trying to start fights just honestly curious, how many women’s opinions on pro choice changed after you got pregnant?

No negativity please, I know it’s a really controversial topic, I just wonder how many women change their opinions after they experience pregnancy themselves.

I believe in choice before conception, after is a ridiculous excuse to murder. To many ppl abuse the choice aspect. It is just murder. We all know what happens when we play a role in procreating. Acting stupid or naive about it and than saying is a choice is an excuse. We all know our own situations, either we can afford one or not. And than that’s when it becomes a choice you should or should not make. Pro-life is life not about religion or politics. It’s a right to live at any stage of life. Not trying to start drama either it’s just what I see in the women who are pro choice. There is no regard for an innocent child. We are all in different stages in our life and so if someone seems ya inconvenient to this world does that give anyone the right to take that persons life??

I dont see why anyone’s opinion would change after becoming pregnant. 
Pro-choice does NOT equal Pro-abortion. It just means that the only one that should have the right to decide what happens in a woman’s body is that woman herself. 
I will always believe this to be true. Im pro choice but i would find it very hard to terminate a pregnancy, the only reason i would do it is if it was best for the baby.

Definitely am pro life for myself, but pro choice overall. Who am I to dictate what a woman does with her body? I just know I couldn’t personally do it, especially after becoming pregnant.

I’ve always been pro-life. My reasons are both religious & scientific. Religious being I am Christian & I believe God doesn’t accidentally allow for any child’s creation/conception- it’s all intended. Scientific because I am a retired ultrasound tech. I’ve studied anatomy & physiology. I’ve been trained to track fetal development & look for diseases & genetic conditions. But I’ve watched those little people grow in utero for years, knowing they are completely distinct from their mothers— totally different DNA. 
I will say, my first pregnancy was not fun. I had nausea the entire 9 mos, & pre-eclampsia at the end. I felt totally out of control of my body. I could relate to women who were not fond of being pregnant. I could understand how an unplanned pregnancy for a young woman could be scary. But I still knew that little life was a gift. This was especially ingrained in me when I had a miscarriage last year. Children are a gift- life is a gift- as long or short as it may be. Length or external tangibility does not determine value.
I have so many friends who struggle with infertility, I feel like adoption should be more mainstream than abortion. I’m keenly aware it’s not an easy thing to do- I’ve worked with women in unplanned pregnancies. But I believe life begets life & death begets death. Why not take something that was perhaps painful for you & turn it into something beautiful for someone else?
But I realize not everyone feels the same as I do.

I don’t know if this makes sense, but after getting pregnant, I’m so glad I never had to decide whether to get an abortion or not. I won’t judge anyone for their choice to get one, but my view on my own body & my own baby has moved from “Sure, I’d get an abortion” to “I couldn’t bring myself to do it.”

Before I had kids I was pro life but I was young and I grew up and realized everyone has different situations. I work in healthcare and ob/gyn and have for 4 or 5 years now and I’ve seen situations where a baby is literally non compatible with life, Mom has a drug or alcohol problem or Mom can literally die from a pregnancy. I can’t judge people who make that choice. I’ve thankfully never been in any of those situations but I could never tell someone they are wrong for making a choice like that.

I’ve always been pro choice (up until a certain week) until I couldn’t have kids. It took me 5 years to get pregnant and I had to do fertility treatments. We lost 2 babies and it was awful... just awful. I am against abortion now but it’s always a woman’s choice. I just hope they think about other ways instead of aborting.

Well Before I got pregnant I couldn’t understand why there was such a huge point of “womans body womans choice” because in my little teenage mind I thought everyone just didn’t want to get big or something and I didnt see that as a big enough excuse to kill a baby. However now that I am 20 and more knowledgeable about what happens during pregnancy and experiencing it myself being 17 weeks....I can see how its not for everyone. I get SUPER sick and the pain from my pelvis and back is unreal as well as boobs growing and nipple pain and stretch marks. I can see why some people dont want to experience it...its not “fun”. So I am as ignorant and judgemental as I use to be about it and I believe its awesome to have that choice.
