Would you quit a volunteer position for a non profit over a fellow volunteer?

I apologize if this isn’t controversial enough. I can move the post if needed.

I’ve been volunteering with at risk youth for 4 years now and we recently got a new volunteer who is annoying as hell. She subtly bullies other volunteers in petty ways, does nothing but brag about herself even to the kids, and is really fake. She posts paragraphs and paragraphs on FB about her amazing work. The lady as even compared herself to freaking Jesus.

The director of the program LOVES her and won’t listen to anyone else’s complaints. The program actually has some rules about about being able the volunteer, but she doesn’t technically break any of them.

She has started to do everything she can to push me out and take over my position (I’m directly under the the director) she subtly bullies me with her passive aggressive words. She constantly points out the the director and myself that since I just had a baby he should be my only priority. I want to stand up for myself, but I don’t want the kids to see there is conflict when all they are looking for is a drama free safe zone. I’m actually tempted to quit or at least take a “sabbatical” because of her...but I don’t want these kids to suffer. I mean, its prideful to think they “need me” but I would hate to make them feel like I left them. But I also don’t know if keeping peace is better for them.

Any advice? I’m desperate to not fucking punch her in the face.
