Stress and Periods

Does anyone think it’s possible for our moods to cause our periods to be late/early? Friday, my friend was in a terrible car wreck and Sunday morning he passed away. Sunday night I was an absolute wreck crying in the shower and I could feel cramping and what do I know, but I started my period. I was four days early. I’m never that early, if anything I’m late. Has anyone else had anything similar happen?

Also: this is a side note but, his family donated his organs and now someone in Ohio has a second chance because of his heart, two local people will each receive one of his kidneys, someone else was blessed with his liver, someone else is going to be blessed with the gift of site tomorrow with the donation of his eyes, and finally science can continue as his lungs will be used for research. Organ donors save lives. If you’re not already, please consider joining the registry. I know he didn’t want, nor expect, to pass at 24, but I know he’s smiling over those who he was able to help.
