40 weeks 2 days and no sign of labour ??

Question

Can anyone please share their stories of having the sweep done I had mine at 40 weeks 1 day at 12:00pm Tuesday it’s now Wednesday 13:19 and it’s been 24 hours and no success... apparently they work within the first 24 hours if it’s gonna work?? Please I need some success stories that’s there’s still time I don’t want to be pregnant for much longer it’s getting hard for me to walk due to my SPD xxxxxx

I had one with both my kids with my first I had to have two sweeps before it worked. 
With my 2nd I was 40 weeks and 5 days I had a sweep the 11th Jan at 12pm got cramps almost right away and then woke up the 12th with stronger ones which turned to contractions and I didn’t loose my plug or have my waters broken until I was 10cm but my baby was born the 12th at 18:30pm. 
Good luck maybe ask for another sweep if it doesn’t work.
