So here's my situation: my cycle is very irregular because I have been breastfeeding for the last year. My LMP started 12/7 and I got a BFP on 1/17. It was no faint line, I mean it was DARK. so by that math I should be 7 wks +5. I had an US yesterday and all they could see was the gestational sac. They said I must be much earlier than I thought. I definitely could have ovulated later because like I said my cycle is very irregular, BUT the only times we could have possibly conceived would we 12/26-12/28 or 1/9. (My husband was hospitalized the entire time between those dates so there's definitely no way I forgot about us having sex one night or something). If we conceived on the 9th I just don't see how I came up with a BFP at only 8 DPO. And if we conceived sometime 12/26-12/28 why is the gestational sac empty? Should I be worried about a blighted ovum? This is so frustrating and confusing, has anyone experienced something similar?

I also need to add that my husband actually passed away on 1/14 so I did not find out about the pregnancy until after he was gone and I just really need to know what is going on with it
