should i keep dating someone i like only on and off?
there’s this guy i’ve been pretty good friends with for a while now. we’ve been good friends for almost a year, and hang out in a group multiple times a week, sometimes almost every day.
i always thought he was really cute and funny and a great guy, but i never really thought much about it and kind of dismissed it up until about a month ago, when we started hanging out more one on one. eventually, we kissed and “dated” (i use quotation marks because i don’t even really count it as dating, it was 6 days LOL). for the first few days, life was good! we both really genuinely liked each other. but a few days after, our feelings shifted and we weren’t sure if we even really still liked each other.
one day, i would be super attracted towards him, our conversation would be great, and everything felt totally natural. the next day, it would be really awkward, quiet, and the conversation would feel forced. it was like we lost the spark.
i talked to him about this and we both feel this way. at this point, i’m just confused. is this normal at the beginning of relationships, for things to be a bit awkward at first, and on-and-off? because i feel like it really depends on the day.
Is it even worth it to continue this relationship if we don’t like each other 100% of the time? or is that normal
