Non-licensed “pharmacist”, fills 745,000 prescriptions 😬

Just saw this article while browsing through reddit...

In your opinion what should the proper punishment be for the woman and for Walgreens? Should anything be done for the customers who had their prescriptions filled by this woman?

It doesn’t mention any of the customers having their prescriptions filled incorrectly or anyone being injured although they are still investigating.

She should serve some amount of jail time. She could have killed someone. There’s a good reason why you have to study Pharmacy at uni and be registered. The employees who hired her and had any involvement with her employment should be sacked. Again, if she had killed someone, they would be partially responsible for failing to read her CV properly and checking appropriate references.

I don't think the people realized she wasn't a licensed pharmacist said no they shouldn't be holding her accountable for getting their prescriptions filled. It doesn't sound like it was fake prescriptions but more she just wasn't licensed to be for filling them. She should be held accountable and so should Walgreens for not checking credentials. I watched a video yesterday of this lady who pretended to Sign during a police conference. When in reality she had no idea how to. She had walked in and offered her services and no one questioned her. Smdh

No worries. Just wanted to clarify. Yeah maybe there will be a class action lawsuit or something from this.

I read it wrong my bad. But if no one was hurt or over or under medicated I don't necessarily think they should be compensated for anything, though I'm sure some will try to sue on the basis that something could have happened

I meant like should the people who had their prescriptions filled be compensated in some way. But yeah I agree that Walgreens and this woman should be held accountable in some way.

She goes to jail for fraud. I doubt any prescriptions were filled incorrectly since that would have been caught onto when they needed to reorder meds. Walgreens should be fined

I think the company/her employers should be fined. Revoking their licence is a step too far. This woman comitted fraud, she gave licence numbers of people with the same name. There would be no reason to doubt her on paper. The woman needs to be jailed. Those who have had prescriptions filled by her and are on repeat/ongoing prescriptions should be reviewed by someone qualified to ensure the correct drug/dosage is being given. Hopefully nobody has died or seriously harmed.

She should be in jail for fraud and her child should be with someone more responsible. Walgreens should be held responsible for not checking good enough though also.
