Hey Ladies........very few women choose to not have kids and telling their relatives and friends is a bit hard because the first thing you are asked is "why don't you want a child?" And you can say you prefer to adopt but they will ask "why would you want to do that???? don't you want a child that looks like you and your SO??" and other stuff like that... And then the guilt tripping starts (il give an example of what my aunt said) she was like "are you adopting because you are sterile??? " i said no im even on the pill as we speak then she was like "you should be ashamed of yourself some women don't have the ability to bear children and here you are just throwing your gift away" Anyway although that hurt to hear i know that some women with this "gift" even give up their kids for adoption at birth and since that kid still needs a mommy, I'll gadly take her place.... Anyway do you think some women are guilt tripped when they say they choose to not have kids... Also if this has ever happened to you.. What did people tell you when you announced you were adopting?
