A 6th sense?!

Do you think your pets know you’re pregnant? I have 2 dogs, a 9 year old and a 3 year old. My 9 year old is a big mamas boy and always always always by my side, which hasn’t changed. My 3 year old usually favors my husband in the evening when we lay down to watch tv but since I’ve been pregnant she’s attached to my hip too. They both lay with me at night and follow me around whenever I’m home. They both also smell my stomach daily. They will lay on top of me and sniff right around my belly button. I know there’s no conclusive evidence whether they can sense it or not, but I think they can! Anyone else’s pets acting differently?

My dog did this too! It started about three days before my missed period! It was very odd because my dog wasn't a fan of snuggling ( I know he's weird😆.) Then one day he was up my butt! Wouldn't leave me alone! He followed me everywhere, slept under the bed beneath where I slept, whined when I left the room and closed the door. The further along I got through my pregnancy the more protective he got. Now he never leaves my daughter's side😊 They are truly best friends! And he is her protector! We live on a busy street with a good bit of traffic. She learned how to open the front door while I was cooking dinner😰. He blocked her from going outside and barked until I came to see what was going on. Door wide open, traffic going by, and my daughter trying to get Buddy out of the door way to go outside! Best "Nanny" ever!

My friend has 4 cats. We don't visit very often because hubby and I are both allergic to cats lol. Usually, Ted will be very stand-offish. He will hiss if we pet him, but he will come into the room and stare at us and cry for our attention. Fatty will brush up on us until he gets tired, and then he lays down until he smells food. Jasmine is a b**** and will scratch you and knead you with her claws, and she refuses to stay off of people. Puddin' used to be really friendly, but after a while of the other cats beating her up, and some of the other people in the house being mean to her, she got really skittish. She usually just skirts around the edges of the room, and hides. Last time I went to visit my friend, I was about 12 weeks pregnant, not showing, and I hadn't told them that I was pregnant yet. Jasmine wouldn't come near me, and hissed when she saw me. Fatty came and sat his fat self on my belly (exactly where my baby was) Puddin' came over and laid on my shoulders and my head and nuzzled me and napped, and Ted climbed up on the couch next to me and made me pet him for half an hour. I am sure that animals can definitely smell it haha

I truly believe they know, you do smell different. However my dog and cat haven’t really paid much attention to me. Makes me sad because I was looking forward to it
