Puppy problems..

My husband and I just got a puppy in October. He is a Belgian Malinois and Lab mix. Our problems are this..one: he is a power chewer, gets bored, chews things up he's not supposed too. We get him usually 2 toys every week or so, but we can't find a toy that actually lasts more than a day and a half!

Two: We know he has a small case of separation anxiety. I know because our last dog had it very, very bad. Our puppy, when we leave, barks and howls. I hate when he does it because I dont know how long he does it for, and we live in an apartment and I don't want to get a noise complaint. He stays in one and a half rooms, has access to toys, food and water, a place to lay down, and usually music or a tv playing. Anybody have suggestions or tips for either?

Also, We are not getting rid of him. We resuced him and he needed a home. He is also my emotional support animal and I love him to death. We also cannot move right now, that isn't an option. We just moved here in November.
