Scheduled C-Section, Advice!

First off, this is my 3rd pregnancy. So, my Dr wants to schedule my c-section at 37 weeks, because my 1st c section was an emergency, and the incision was done vertically. That being said he doesn't want me to go into labor at all because my uterus can rupture and it could be fatal.

I would like to wait until I'm 40 weeks to have my c section, because I feel like baby should be in there as long as possible. I say this because with my daughter i was not dilated at all, i was supper closed and i had my c section at 41 weeks.

So my question is, should i just get the c section at 37 weeks even though im fully closed and no signs of labor pain, or should I ask my dr to push it a little more til 38 or 39 weeks?
