Introducing Formula Advice??

Question

My LO is currently EBF but my supply is starting to get low. He is currently eats 18 to  24 oz when I’m at work for 8 hrs. So his pediatrician recommended starting him on similac soy during that time and BF when he’s home. Any advice on introducing formula? TIA

I started supplementing with formula when my first was 4 months old. After going back to work my supply definitely slowed down and she was eating more that I could produce. While I still has some breastmilk (BM) reserved in the freezer my doc recommend we start mixing the two to introduce formula slowly. 2 weeks: 1/3 formula & 2/3 BM. 2weeks 1/2 formula & 1/2 BM. 2 weeks 2/3 formula & 1/3 BM. Then all formula by the time she was 6 months. I Breastfeed when I was with her and felt I had enough milk for her. 
I plan on doing the same with my 4 month old this time around but probably starting when she hits 5 months (in 2 wks if my supply can make it 🤞🏾). I hope this was helpful.

I am currently having the same problem and it’s really frustrating. My son will be five months old this week and I can’t seem to keep up with his appetite. I reluctantly gave him his first ever bottle of formula last week and have been giving him one bottle of formula a day since then to give myself a bit of a break. I have been using Similac Pro-Sensitive and he hasn’t had any issues with it. Fingers crossed that this is just a growth spurt and not a permanent issue!
