UTI bacteria type??

Ladies help me stop being dr google 😑 anyone ever have a UTI with the bacteria being serratia marcescens ?? I can’t seem to find anything other than how it is antibiotic resistant.. a nurse from the OB called said oh we’re going to call in Bactrim and that was it 🤷‍♀️ am I over worrying ?! It just seems so uncommon .

Usually UTIs are E. Coli but serratia is possible too. It’s also a gram negative organism like E.coli and it’s commonly health care associated but it isn’t any more dangerous or harder to treat than another UTI. Bactrim usually provides good coverage. You’ll be fine!

Yes, you are being paranoid and over thinking it. It's ok to be paranoid about it but I would stop googling and take the antibiotics and a probiotic. Eat a meal and take them and drink lots of fluids. You can eat yogurt too. It just helps your system get back to normal.
