The little things

I always fall asleep before my partner because I need more sleep to get through the day than he does. I’m a heavy sleeper so I don’t wake up when he comes into bed, last night I half woke up like I was aware when he came into bed he lay and cuddled me for a few minutes and kissed my cheek and whispered “I love you” before turning around and going to sleep.

So I said to him in the morning “I think I woke up last night when you came into bed, did you cuddle, kiss me and tell me you love me?” He was shrugged like “yeah I always do that 🤷🏼‍♀️”

He isn’t the most sensitive guy, I mean he always wants a wee cuddle and says “I love you” but usually it’s like a quick “I love you” when we end a call or something like that.

It was nice having it whispered in my ear🥰
