Nn Max?

Question

I love the name Max as a nickname, but not as a full name. But I also don't like any of the names that can traditionally be shortened to Max. Anyone have any suggestions please?
Edit: Let's rephrase "traditionally" to "usually"...

I can relate. Max used to be one of my top choices for a boy, but I don’t really like any of the “full” names. 
In the end my in-laws named their dog Max, and I had a girl. So I guess I don’t have to worry about that anymore.
