Anyone with an Oversupply of Milk Production?

I am producing SO MUCH MILK! My daughter will literally nurse for 5-8 mins and be completely satisfied. Any more than that and she will throw it all up. I'm using the haakaa on the opposite breast to catch my let down, and its literally about 3oz of milk that comes pouring out. I dont want to pump quite yet, shes only 1 week old, but good golly my milk stash is growing!

Yep! It takes a while for supply to regulate. Until then I’ll just be drenched in milk 😅

I’m not hurting so I can’t be sure that I am. However my milk letdown is so fast that my son is choking a lot of the time. He also feeds for 10 min MAX. Most of the time it’s quicker. And my breasts fill up quickly afterwards. I would hold off on pumping as long as you can up to 4 weeks. That’s my plan at least because pumping is only going to make you produce more and I want to avoid oversupply like the plague because it will lead to engorgement and mastitis and an all around negative experience and I want to continue to breastfeed

Guilty about pumping ☹️ doc said I could pump to relieve the pain, so I have been. And I do have a lil stockpile now. 
But how do I avoid mastitis?

I have an oversupply too, it was much worse when my LO was a week though. I would pump before feeding her to slow my letdown and would get 6 oz in 4 minutes! I wouldn't recommend pumping though, at least until your supply regulates. Mine is finally starting to even out at almost 3 and a half weeks, but baby still only nurses off one side for 10 minutes each feed, but shes gaining weight like crazy!
