Anyone out there having fear overpower their feelings of happiness at finding out they are pregnant?

It seems like I'm the only person on this app that is petrified about being pregnant. I thought I was ready but now that it happened, I'm so scared. I'm happy, of course, but it's just clouded by fear. I just found out yesterday so I'm hoping the fear will pass and the happiness will take over...

Ugh yes.... we tried so long to get pregnant. Now that I finally am I am so anxious and fearful about all the bad things that can happen I can’t let myself be happy

I'm pregnant with my rainbow, and of course there is fear, but I'm gonna still plan for the future and enjoy every second of this pregnancy.

I totally understand this feeling. I have lost three babies. One at 20 weeks. Sometimes just thinking about nine long months of this makes it feel impossible. Basically I’ve just decided that I’m going to love this baby with my whole heart and if it gets broken, so be it. I’ve lived through worse. This might be my last pregnancy and I don’t want to ruin it with fear. Don’t get me wrong, it’s very much there. I just have to try to focus on the positive things. So many women never even get to see that second little line on a pregnancy test. I’ve very blessed, no matter how long I have with this baby. This is what I’m telling myself, anyway. 😉

Yes! Thank you for posting this! We intentionally stopped BC at the end of Dec, but I truly didnt think it'd happen this quickly. I'm terrified and feel unprepared! I also ended up in the ED thanks to bad cramping and sharp pains. Luckily, it seems as though everything is ok.
