On the 24th, my fiance and I had a date to see the Lion King musical Broadway show in our city. I had an OB appointment right before...long story short, they sent me to L&D due to preeclampsia with "severe symptoms".

I was poked, prodded, induced, and in labor for 2 days before the doctor told me that I probably needed to have a C-section (wasn't my plan BUT at this point, I just wanted to meet my little safely!)

Baby Asher-Kai was born on 1/26 at 1:47 a.m, bright eyed and bushy tailed, and after a week in the hospital with him in the NICU, we were given a green light to go home!

Yesterday, my fiance tells me that he made a lot of calls and got ahold of the ticketing manager for the Lion King...AND THEY GAVE US TICKETS FOR THE NEXT DAY SHOW!

Everything worked out, healthy baby, healthy mommy, and a special date after it all.
