Follow the Bible?

Question

We live on Earth, we live on a land we didn't create we're "supposed" to abide by the "laws of the land" (The Bible). The Bible has many different versions things have been rewritten, forged, made up. So how are we supposed to know what the actual "laws of the land" are. I read KJV and I've seen the NJV and it's scripts are different.
What are your out looks on live by the Bible? 
What version of the Bible do you read?
Do you believe everything in the version of the Bible you read? And if not everything do you believe some?

New  world translation of the holy Scriptures (NWT) I have found that KJV is harder to understand because nobody today talks like that.

I read the New World Translation but I've also used the KJV and others for cross referencing.  And yes, I believe what I read in the Bible and that everything in the Bible is there for our benefit (2 Timothy 3:16, 17)

So what I would read is Torah which is old testament consists of 5 books of Moses genesis, exodus,Leviticus, Deuteronomy and numbers. Also there is Talmud with commentaries from sages like Mishna, etc...for better understanding. But this is in regards to my religion . I believe in authentic things which is not added or modified . But everyone has their own beliefs and choose to believe in what's is more convenient:)

Ok I will try to explain it as simple as it is.  First we had Judaism. Which is Torah (Jewish bible) which is in fact old testament. Then Christianity was created Christians took Torah (old testament) added new testament = here we go we have Christianity which incorporates authentic Torah (as old testament) and Newly created New testament which Paul promoted and most of his thoughts of what Jesus what's to says or to tell based on "unknown" grounds because he has never met Jesus and multiple stories contradicts with each other then Mormons took Jewish Torah, Christian new testament added one more book and here we are = new religion.  The first and main idea of Judaism is monotheism there is one god and no one after him, you follow 10 command a and 613 mitzvah (good deeds) kashrut - laws for food (do not mix meat and dairy, no shellfish or pork) and observe holidays especially shabbat which is Saturday - do not work on Saturday. Christians created idolwhorshipping because icons and Jesus would be considered as idol worshiping since it is not God and God have no shape, form etc... They changed the holy day from Saturday to Sunday (Roman and Greek influence) .

The KJV was translated from the Latin Vulgate for a king who picked and chose what he liked.  I would highly recommend a translation like the ESV which is translated from the original languages by scholars who know Greek and Hebrew language and culture like the backs of their hands. :)

I’ve read bits of both and they seem to be pretty similar to me. The only thing that’s different is the fact that the King James Version is harder to read. Aside from that they all pretty say the same thing.

Well KJV has like art thou, hast, so on .. NKJ doesn’t. If you like the original back in bible times then KJV. NKJV is like more simpler. I have a hard time read KJV so I stick to NKJV and yes I believe in it :)

I read NIV and yes I believe everything in it. If you’re really interested in this topic I suggest reading some books about translation because it’s an incredibly interesting topic! I studied translation theories quite a bit in college and it will change how you see so many things haha. That said I also use a lot of references and anthologies (like books that tell you the original word for every word in the Bible, possible meanings of that word, and explain why it’s translated the way it is (Strong’s Anthology is a good one). Some translations take more liberties with the translations than others to accomplish different goals (like being easier to read or more narrative for example) which is why there’s sometimes differences so whenever in doubt just go back to the original word/phrase and learn more about it.
