Is it bad if you don’t have skin to skin with your baby within the first hour after they’re born? (Read description below before voting)
My whole pregnancy I had planned to have immediate skin to skin with my baby after she was born cos many people had said how important it is to do so, and that the first hour is the “golden hour” etc. However, due to severe complications I wasn’t able to have skin to skin with my daughter after she was born. And now I’m worrying about it thinking “Does it matter?” “Does it make a difference if you do or don’t?” “Does it have a negative impact if you don’t have skin to skin immediately or within the first hour?”. All these sorts of questions and worries keep running thru my mind and it’s starting to make me feel guilty or like I really missed out.
