2/2/19 at 2:22pm my heart grew 100000 times.
Friday 2/1 I went to my regular OB check up. I was 39+2 and feeling super emotional and over being pregnant. Appt went fine and they told me they could schedule a possible induction at my appt on the 5th for the following week where i would be 41 weeks. I felt so discouraged and when I left my husband as we both headed back to work I sat in my car and cried. I felt like my body was Failing me. Giving me false hope that I’d go into labor early. At my office around 3:15 I went to pee and noticed something felt different. I thought maybe it was extra discharge so put on a pad and kept going. But it kept leaking. Called and was told to head to BP since clinic was about to close. Told my hubby not to come since it was probably nothing. Parked my car and as soon as I got out boom flood gates opened in the parking garage. Called hubs and said yep come in my water broke. I got checked and admitted around 6pm. I was GBS + so they started penicillin. I was contracting on my own but not dilating so they started some misoproxil which eventually got me to 2 centimeters the next morning. They upped my dosage and all at once I was hit with non stop contractions that were maxing out the contraction monitor. I had non stop contractions for 2 hours and dilated to a 5. It was awful. I went from a 5-7 in no time and asked for the epidural thank god. I had to sit so still during the epidural during contractions where i wanted to push. 15 min after getting the epi I started to push, it was around 10am. I pushed for 4 hours!!!!! I had a choice of vacuum or c section and I picked vacuum. Baby’s head was stuck in my pelvis. I pushed so hard I popped many blood vessels in my face but at 2:22 on 2/2/19 our baby boy Beauden arrived and is just so so perfect. I had a second degree tear and am loving being his mommy.
