Swollen hand and sickness?

Im currently 36+4 weeks. Last night, I went to the toilet and when I got there noticed that my left hand felt funny. When I looked I saw my middle finger felt kind tingly and began swelling all of sudden to the point where it felt like it was going to burst. I've never had this before so kind of got worried and put it under the cold water tap. I immediately checked my blood pressure as I read it could be a sign of pre-eclampsia but my BP has always been on the low side. After checking I found that it was normal, 111/65. By the time I was going to go sleep it got better and the swelling went down.

In the morning it was fine and I felt fine until around lunch time. After eating I was sick and was wondering if any knew what this could be. I have my midwife appointment in a couple of days and I'm going to bring it up with her.

Idk if it's relevant or not but at exactly 36 weeks I noticed some of my mucus plug coming away and it was slightly tinged with brown. Only noticed it whilst wiping and haven't noticed/seen it since. I've been having very light period pains since a few weeks but they aren't regular at all, like I'll have a couple throughout the day and that's it
