MIL is too opinionated

So my husband shared with his mom that we have started ttc. I'm fine with that. I'm not telling my parents because my mom will ask a million questions and I'd (hopefully] like to surprise her when we are pregnant.

The problem is we are going on a European holiday in July. Should I get pregnant tomorrow it would still be fine to travel. But she told him she wants to "sit down and have a long talk" with me about this because she doesnt think it's good timing and I am foolish to think otherwise.

We got in a little fight yesterday about this. We are in our 30s. Financially stable educated professionals. I do not need to have a conversation with my mother in law about when her son should impregnate me.

So I told him that he needs to tell her to keep her opinion and comments to herself and NOT discuss this with me.

I do not want added pressure of people's opinions and input as we start this journey together.

Am I being irrational?
