I started my period on Monday, Jan 21, and on Sunday Jan 27 I started my combination birth control pill (I took a break for 2 weeks beforehand because I ran out). On Friday, Feb 1 the condom broke during sex and I'm worried that I am not entirely protected. I'm pretty sure it takes 7 days to be protected from the start of my pill... Should I get an emergency contraceptive?

Go get one ASAP unless you’re okay with the possibility of becoming pregnant.
But you only have 72 hours after sex to take and the more time that passes, the less effective it is.
