FINALLY MY TURN!! ❤️

Tiffany

Everything started about 12-1 am January 23rd. I kept feeling the urge to go to the bathroom and couldn’t. Unbeknownst to me... contractions! 10-15 minutes apart.

I was finally able to relax and sleep, I slept the ENTIRE night for the first time in months! I woke up around 7-8 am with my contractions full force 5-10 minutes apart.

Messaged my husband at work telling him I thought it was time but I wanted to wait a bit. I laid there and the contractions got worse. I messaged back and told him to come home that I was getting ready and we would go get checked at L&D just to be safe.

I shower, get ready, call my mom and message my dad. My mom cracks the joke that I’ve got a while to go before I have my baby girl. (This was around 9 AM). I call my sister after and tell her that it’s go time (by now I know it’s legit). She gets herself and her daughter ready and drops her off at the babysitter.

I’m sitting down in front of my front door getting my shoes on. I reposition to try and stand up and “pee” myself a little. I tell my husband and he says, is it that you owed or is it your water? As I’m saying no, I just peed myself a little I get a huge hush of fluid and all I can manage to get out is “uh-oh” as I look up at him. He says, definitely your water! And we rush out the door, bags in hand to the hospital. (About 9:30 AM)

We hit EVERY red light on the way. When we get there they put me in the back section of L&D to see if it’s really my water and to monitor the contractions. They’re about 3 minutes at this point. They finally put me in my room, I get my IV with some bomb ass pain meds that made me high as heck! It takes the edge off until I’m at 7-8 cm.

I keep feeling like I have to push and finally it’s time! About 10-12 pushes later and our baby girl is here! 7 pounds 4 ounces. 19 inches long! Pushing wasn’t the easiest. I kept getting tired and discouraged or it would have been a little faster! Pregnancy and delivery was definitely an experience I will cherish forever ❤️😇
