Is it normal to not want kids and to hate them?

Yes it is. I felt like this for a looooooong time. Most of my life really. All the way up to my late 20s. Couldn't stand them, they irritated the living daylights out of me and I wanted nothing to do with them. Even as a child, I wanted nothing to do with irritating younger children.

Well its not "normal" since it isn't the norm but it also isn't incredibly weird

I’ve actually looked into this recently as I came across the term “Dink”, dual-income, no kids. SO and I are definitely in that category but temporarily, as we do want kids in the future. I was  surprised at how much hate some people get for not wanting children ever tho. “Children are a blessing, You’re too young to know you don’t want them, They are the biggest joy.” Forget what anyone tells you. Its totally normal, you’re not being selfish. You do you. If you ever change your mind, make sure its because YOU want it that way.
