Should I text her?

So my husbands ex just found out she has a brain tumor and is about to start chemo in 2 weeks. They have 2 kids together and I’m currently 17weeks pregnant with our first. Her and I have never got along. Last year we nearly got into a fight and ever since then we haven’t talked. Even though I cannot stand her I feel like texting her. I was going to say something like” I heard what was going on with you and I truly am sorry, I know we do not get along and you do not have to text me back if you don’t want but if you need anything just us know. I cannot possibly imagine what you are going through and I wish you nothing but a speedy recovery” I just want other people’s opinions on this I truly feel bad for her considering she’s only 35. Thank you.

Maybe instead of saying “let us know” maybe say “let me know” so it feels more personable instead of just a generic “we are here for you”
But yes! Absolutely reach out to her!! Shit like that between families is so petty anyways. In this time it’s important to come together.. even if she doesn’t respond, you tried!

If the opportunity came up in person I may offer my condolences, but if you guys don't like each other, I wouldn't say anything. The last person I'd want to hear anything like that from is my husband's baby mama.

I would reach out to her bc God forbid but if something would happen to her then atleast you would feel better knowing you tried and maybe yall can become closer especially for the kids sake

Yes. That would be a really thoughtful text. 
She may not reply. She's got a lot going on and she may not have the time or emotional focus to give to you at the moment. She may not take you up on your offer of support as it is an intensely personal time. But I know through experience that messages like these can help someone know that people care and they are not alone. 
Sometimes dramatic events such as this cause a change in focus to what is really important in life.

I wouldn't say anything. Honestly, I would be texting her to make myself feel better if something terrible were to happen, and that would be selfish. The last thing she needs is trying to reconcile a bad relationship for the sake of the other person. If you actually want to do something for her, go for it. But I wouldn't text.
