My C-section is scheduled in 3 days, I had a consultation with the anesthesiologist and she suggested a spinal block. But I have scoliosis mostly in my middle to lower back, she never checked how serios it is and if it will affect the spinal block. She also gave me instructions as if I were to have general anesthesia (no eating for 12 hours and not even water for 8 prior to the surgery).

At the moment I am really afraid of having a general anesthesia, being intubated and I've been told by ENT doctors I have a small/narrow throat.

Has anyone had a successful spinal block with scoliosis and if so, how bad is yours?
