Would you let your husband go away for 4 days?

A friend of mine relayed this question to me and I don’t know what to say as I’m not married so I can’t really relate. But her husband planned a trip to Vegas with his buddies and some of their wives for the super bowl - he left two days in advance and spent the next two days there with everyone he met up with. 
I know she’s super busy with work and couldn’t make the time to go plus their kids but I think that if she really wanted to, she would have gone and made the effort. Would say this Is a healthy situation? Or martial problems at the door?

Depends on what kind of relationship they have. Everyone is different. Personally I wouldn't leave my spouse for 4 days, not because I'm "not allowed to" but because I wouldn't want to. He wouldn't either. I don't think him going is indicative of marital problems.

Why wouldn't it be healthy? Maybe she isn't as into the super bowl and felt she wouldnt have fun there on top of not wanting to worry about all the work that will be piled up and waiting for her once she gets back. And traveling with kids is hard and exhausting. They made a choice that worked best for them. Why are you being nosey about something they themselves aren't worried about?

It’s totally healthy to be able to enjoy time away from your SO. I have no problem with my husband going away with friends and vice versa. We are in a very happy and trusting relationship.

What they are a child. If anything this is partnership and that’s where conversation should be happening. Not on here or between friends. But between these two people. If someone doesn’t feel great about the trip they should speak and talk about. If you saying let them then guess what that’s not partnership that child and parent relationship. No one wants to be in that kind of relationship unless u are a child and a parent. Seriously on how many posts similar to this where the communication is a key. Not control. Communication

Married people are allowed to have their own interests and separate lives. It doesn’t mean marital problems. I wouldn’t want to leave my husband for that long, but if it’s something he really wanted and I wasn’t able to get time off, I’d let him go have fun. I’d miss him, but not my place to hold him back.
