Do you only get a growth scan if your belly measures off?

I haven’t had my belly measured yet but probably will tomorrow. I’m hoping I can get a growth scan cuz I wanna see her again so bad lol

My docs always do a growth scan at around 32 weeks, but all docs are different. Measuring your belly is extremely inaccurate because all pregnant women’s bellies are different and different sizes for different pregnancies. Ultrasounds that measure weight are fairly inaccurate as well.

We got a growth check at 31 weeks only because baby was measuring at the 9-10% at our 20 weeks scan.

Here there has to be some kind of concern before they offer another scan after the anatomy scan.
I have GD so they want to monitor her weight and growth more than they usually do. So I get a few extra scans. I hope she wants to show her face the next time 🙄

I was constantly measuring behind and every time I brought up my concern, it was brushed off until I was 39 weeks then they gave me a growth scan pretty much right before my due date. She was in the 18th percentile, so they weren’t concerned (only an issue if under 11%. Ended up being induced at 40w5d and she weighed 6lb 10oz.

I’m getting one at 34 weeks with no issues of growth. But baby was breech at the 28 week scan (had that scan ordered due to a rare antibody show up early in the pregnancy) I suspect this 34 week scan is for the position.
