Moods and Birth control

V

Hi ladies, now I know that Birth Control can make us ladies have some mood swings but I was wondering how strong it can be. I noticed that my mood changes drastically but now I’m more in a sensitive mood. A very Emotional mood. I wouldn’t of thought that my BC would effect me this greatly

I was extremely depressed before birth control - the only time I was happy was at school with my friends, and even then it wasn't always great. After birth control, I don't really get "happy" or "sad" - I'm very apathetic about everything. I'm now on meds to try and improve that, because the birth control could only do so much for me. I can be "triggered" more readily when I'm PMSing - it's easier to make me angry or weepy - but again, much better on birth control than I was without.

It honestly varies from person to person. My mood swings are typically mild-moderate.

I was exhausted 24/7 when I first started. And yesterday I cried in the middle of a Lowe's. Thankfully they are calling down and I'm less tired. I find that different types of tea have helped me. Practice some self love and if you have time, take a power nap. You will get used to the extra hormones and your body will balance out. You just need to be patient.

My first 2 months on BC was the worsttt , I had serious mood swings, cried like every day and lost my appetite but after that my body got used to it and everything went back to normal, it’s been two years and my appetite is normal and so is my mood
