Has anyone took antibiotics in their first trimester?? I got strep throat and I got wrote out amoxicillin!

If your doctor prescribed you antibiotics you should definitely take them. Strep throat has to be treated with antibiotics to get better. Left untreated it can turn into rheumatic fever, which can cause heart damage. Amoxicillin is a category B drug which means that animal studies have failed to show any adverse effects on the fetus.
