BACKGROUND INFO:

My boyfriend and I currently live with his parents. We have a 6 month old baby and obviously the grandparents LOVE having him around. My boyfriend is the baby of the family and his parents don’t want him gone/wanna eventually gift him this house.

I work 3 days a week (we can’t afford for me to be a stay at home mom) and his grandma watches him when I work for about 5 hours. We pay her $100 a week.

We have some unnecessary expenses (credit card payments mostly) so I’m going to pay everything off once I get my tax return money.

THE POINT OF THIS IS

I just feel like we need a place of our own. And when baby is napping, I find myself looking at houses and day dreaming of the day when we’ll be out of here.

I love being at home with my son. We play and read all day long. I’m crazy about him having NO screens and whenever I’m at work I know his grandparents have the TV on 24/7 and I just feel like he isn’t going to thrive in their care...(whoops).

So I’m stuck between wanting to work full time so we can get out of here... or staying part time because i don’t want to miss out on any firsts with my baby boy.

What would you do?
