When to order breast pump

I already ordered mine through my insurance even though it doesn’t ship out until a month before I give birth. I just didn’t want to forget about doing it! So I got it out of the way 😊

I used edgepark last week to order and received the breast pump yesterday! No charge, fully covered by insurance. I did call to see what website I should order through and they told me to use edgepark.com. I am 21 weeks!

I called my insurance company and they said to call in March to open my “case” for short term leave / FMLA and they said that’s the best time to order the pump as well so it has time to get approved and get here that way you have it in the event of a preterm labor (just in case!)

From what I remember from my first pregnancy, I think I had to wait until at least 28wks to order through insurance. I got a prescription from my doctor. Definitely check with your insurance company to see when you can order.

I ordered, and already received mine. My insurance nurse through BCBS told me to go ahead.

Go ahead and order, why not? with my first, the company i used wouldn’t send it until a month before baby was due. But this time around i used Ashland health and they called blue cross and blue shield to verify my insurance, and then my dr office to obtain a prescription and I had my pump within two weeks :) now it’s just waiting on baby!

Already got mine and I’m 22 weeks

I got it out of the way and ordered it and it ended up coming like 4 days later. It’s just sitting in my nursery right now.
