So I finally made an appt with the obgyn to discuss birth control for my horrible periods because the pills don’t work. I’ve decided to get the iud and she recommends mirena. I’m set up to get it inserted next Wednesday and she wants me to take 800 mg of ibuprofen before and make sure I eat. I’m super nervous. What’s your experience with getting it in and the after effects?
