Good laptops for photo editing?

What are good but cheap/affordable laptops that I can edit photos for photography such as lightroom. Under 300 if possible.

Unless you're buying used, a laptop under $300 is not going to have sufficient graphics and storage components for photo editing. You realistically need something with a single slate drive that would likely be $700 at the cheapest. This is taking into consideration monitor size needs as well.

Maybe try and find a used MacBook Pro that someone is trying to sell. Often college students try and sell them after school.  They are really great computers and they come with a good screen calibration software which will save you money and give you great results.  Screen calibration is important because if not properly calibrated your photos will look completely different on other people’s screens as well as when they are printed. There are also a ton of other reason I would recommend not buying a cheap computer, if you’re not 100% in your camera (like me) and/ or like to make adjustments and effects in Lightroom/ photoshop (also like me🙂) you will want to invest in a good computer. In my opinion, trying go cheap on a new computer will be a waste of money. If you can’t afford a new Mac or whatever the equivalent of other brands, look for used ones!  🙂
