i could have walked away.
I could have walked away when I saw the dog without an owner or without a leash.
I could have turned around.
I could have yelled and shouted at it.
I could have pretend that one of these houses was it's home.
I could have done nothing.
but I didn't.
sure I had my son strapped to my chest, and I was walking my own dog. I read the cues of this strange dog, the playful step the wagging tail, it approached us with joy. not two houses length was a busy road, I was not going to wittiness this dogs death.
he had a collar but no tags, and a flea collar. he came with lots of kisses. this was someone beloved pet.
I easy enough called animal control, told the story and plopped myself down and waited about 15 minutes until animal control showed up and surprise a car pulled up right behind with a lady who came flying out "my dog! my dog! you found him oh thank you, he opened the gate somehow!!"
it didn't take to much time from my day to help. so I hope the next time your able to help, animal, person whatever! that you do so. ❤️ there is to much hate and self absorbed people out there. be the change

I'm happy your back home mister Oliver ❤️
