Metabolic confusion?

Has anyone ever done a metabolic confusion diet? If so did it work and do you have any tips I've just heard of it and I'm curious if it would work for me

I have a great diet for you to try! It’s called eat healthy and exercise.
You can’t confuse your metabolism. It’s controlled by so many different hormones, including the same one that makes you sleepy at night time. Even if you did somehow manage to ‘confuse’ your metabolism, how is your body going to react when you lose the weight you want and have to go back to eating normally? 
Just eat healthier foods with appropriate portion sizes and make sure you’re exercising for 30-60 mins a day with some vigorous physical activity 60-120 mins a week.
