Tips for loosing weight?

(Before you judge me for my weight please understand my parents never taught me better and my depression has had its tight grip on me for years)

Im 19, 5'7" and 270 pounds. Im very well aware of how unhealthy that is and I want to get better but i feel so hopeless. I don't know where to start. I know diet is a huge part but i seriously just dont know where to start. I plan on getting a gym membership and walking as much as possible and doing as much as i can but im frustrated because i know how quickly i lose motivation. Ive been struggling with my depression and social anxiety for years and that's also a huge problem. Im not motivated and im so afraid of peoplw judging me.

So does anyone have any tips for me and things to keep me motivated?
