As a girl dreaming of being a mom someday I’ve always loved boy names that end with an in sound. Like Nathan Owen Finnegan etc. but little did I know it would have to sound good with his last name - not mine! How do I blend my “in” obsession with a last name like Flynn? Finnegan Flynn? I think not 😂😂😂😭💀💀

Nathan Flynn & Owen Flynn sounds good! You have to mix up the syllables and not use alliteration! 💖 Or you can just say “screw it” and use the name you love anyway!

Awe haha! I had a name picked out forever that I liked too and wanted to give my daughter. Unfortunately it became my new last name when I got married... Can't really have the same first and last name 😂

😂😂😂 I get that struggle! Martin is my maiden name and I always dreamed about baby names and they all sounded good with that, but now I have some crazy ass Italian last name that’s 10 letters long. Its cute but crazy. That being said, I think Nathan Flynn sounds good. 🥰

Maybe try thinking of it like two first names instead of being separate. I went to high school with a Matt James and a Nick George those are their first/last names but everyone called them by the whole name. Or try using names that end in ‘son’ like Jackson Flynn.

yes the last name makes it so hard!! i’ve always liked longer names, but my fiancé has a 3 syllable last name. and the name we currently have picked out for our son (like first middle and last together) is 9 syllables. this poor child is going to have a mouthful of a name, but I just really like it!!! 😅

Actually, I think Finnegan doesn't work more because of the Finn and less the egan at the end. Tegan Flynn sounds fine as a slightly modified version, so just make sure there's not 2 sets of in/en/an in the name and probably that it's at the end of the name.
