This is the poem my daughter wrote.... I just wanted to share....

Little girl remember you were only just an 8 year old little girl

Little girl you wasn’t the reason he did it to others

Little girl you were the innocent one

Little girl you didn’t know it was sexual abuse

Little girl it was his choice

Little girl you didn’t understand what was wrong or what was even right from wrong

Little girl he kept say sorry but you knew it was just a lie

Little girl you kept hearing the words from daddy I’ll stop.

Little girl he told you to say the word “police” and he said he’d stop.

Little girl you knew it never would but you tried

Little girl you did whatever you had to to protect yourself

Little girl you also knew he loved you

Little girl he was your daddy you loved him

Little girl you knew you couldn’t tell mummy

Little girl you were scared

Little girl you cried

Little girl one day you’d become an adult

Little girl you’d speak up and out loud

Little girl he’d be the one in the wrong and in trouble

Little girl you’d be the survivor

UPDATE

He was sentenced to 12 years and my little girl is now 23 years old. It took 3 years to go through the judicial system. She came out and told me when she was 19 years old.

It happened on a daily basis. For 9 years. My second daughters trial is in July/August for the same crime. I too was a victim of rape from the monster too (WHILE I WAS SLEEPING). I have since told my girls to be loud and not keep this quiet. Scream it... let’s not keep it quiet. There is no shame in speaking out. Let other victims know it’s ok to speak up.

Adding.... my daughter is also legally blind, epilepsy and has cerebral palsy, at 5 weeks old the same monster also abused her then, fractured rib and collarbone. She was born ‘normal’. He shook her so violently and compressed her so hard. He was sentenced to 5 years and done 2.5years. All of these years he had me believe he to be innocent and it was my sister, to this day my sister and I don’t speak, thanks to his lies and manipulation. She doesn’t forgive me for not believing her. Just another relationship he destroyed.

But the positive from that is my daughter is a Paralympian and represented Australia on many occasions and has travelled the world....
