Additional testing?

What additional testing should I expect because of my age (nearly 40)? I’ve read that generally doctors are more careful or more proactive when it comes to things like ultrasounds for older mommas...has that been anyone else’s experience? Thanks!

I had more ultrasounds and more blood tests. It didn’t matter though🥺 we found out at anatomy scan that our baby girl had a heart that formed backwards basically and she would never be able to breath air. She would only live as long as inside me. 1 in 4K shot and no testing would have predicted it. They do monitor everything a little more closely especially if you have had any history of miscarriage.

I didn’t have any additional testing, but I didn’t want any and they didn’t push it.

We were pregnant when I was 40 (now 42). Did NIPT (panorama) at 9 weeks and found out he had trisomy 18. Did amnio at 15 confirmed tri 18 and ultrasound also confirmed his insides were on his outsides. We decided to end the pregnant before he can feel any pain. 
If I get pregnant again we will for sure do the genetic testing again. Thinking about ivf and we can do genetic testing on my eggs before fertilizing to make sure we have “good” eggs and try to rule out genetic problems but doc said it still can’t rule out all abnormalities.
