1st iui fail, 2nd in progress..how many before loosing hope?!

I have pco but not the syndrome. Everything else normal. I did my first iui last month. 100mg of clomid with trigger shot on a wed night and Iui Friday morning. Only had one follicle on one ovary. Husband sperm wash 5 million 83 motility.
Starting the next process for my 2nd....
How many does everyone do before moving on? Getting so sad and frustrated after trying for almost 2 years now.

My husband and I are about to begin the process again. After 2.5 years of trying I got pregnant with my son on the first iui. We used femara and a trigger shot and then did a back to back iui. I’m now trying for another baby and am very nervous. My doctor says if it doesn’t happen in 3-4 iuis, statistically speaking, IVF would be the best option next. It’s all so emotionally overwhelming. I have PCOS and endometriosis and just completed my second IUI last week. I too did 100mg of Clomid with a trigger last Tuesday and IUI Thursday. Strangely enough my husbands count, frozen, was the exact same as yours.  Per my insurance requirements I have to complete 3 IUI's before moving to IVF.  Personally, and this may sound terrible to some, I go into the IUI's with the mind set that I'm just going through the motions/process to get to IVF (my chances are very low with IUI). If it happens with IUI then GREAT but if not then it'll be a little less of a let down.
