Opinion on Vacation at 35 weeks pregnant??

Question

Every year I have a week long family reunion/vacation at a beach house about an hour and a half away from home. I haven’t missed it in years and this year I will be 35 weeks pregnant. We have already put a down payment on our beach house and I won’t be far from home. Should I be okay? 
Also - I plan on bringing my hospital bag, will have my sister there with me and know where the nearest hospital is. 
*baby’s father does not attend this vacation* 
LASTLY: What exactly does it mean if my doctor does not “OK it” ???

I would absolutely go and not think twice about it😁 
it's only 1.5hrs away (I'm assuming by car), you're still most likely anywhere from 3-5weeks from delivering. Labor is extremely unlikely to be less than 2 hours so your hubby would be able to drop everything and come if something were to happen but even then you would be premie and the hospital would be trying to STOP labor. 
Maybe it's because I live in Australia. 1.5hrs isn't very far at all 😕

Do it. You’re an hour and a half from home if everything is still normal at that time then go for it. Labor usually takes longer than an hour and a half you could make it to your hospital if the need arises.

I was ok’d by my dr with my first to go home for Christmas at 37 weeks. It was 3 hours from where I live by car. I did okay on the trip, was uncomfortable didn’t really enjoy it. I went in to labor the day after I went home. So I was 38+2. They said I potentially went in to labor early due to traveling. We’re both good but I just didn’t enjoy the trip. This time I don’t plan on leaving anywhere near my due date. But that’s just me

Listen to your doctor, but also check your insurance. 
I know with mine, If I’m past 34 weeks, and I am more than 1 hr away from my hospital and have to go to a different hospital for an emergency delivery then I am responsible for ALL the cost. 
The reason is that at that point labor and delivery is not unexpected. 
I for sure won’t be traveling past that date for that reason alone.

That’s cutting it really close. Most doctors won’t let you travel anymore between 34-36 weeks. I would consult your doctor

Your doctors opinion should be the most valuable here.
If the doctor does not ok it, it means you don’t go end of story.
I had a big business trip (to Tokyo from Osaka) planned when I was 6 weeks pregnant and my doctor strongly suggested I not go, it was difficult but I didn’t go.
35 weeks especially is a extremely bad time to travel, I personally recommend against it myself.
