Cold sore and baby??

So I ended up developing a cold sore this morning and last night I was kissing my 8 month old !!!!! Do u think she’ll be ok?? I frequently get acne on my lip and chin area and I thought it was a little pimple there was no pain or anything I deal with it a lot. But I woke up and that pimple and a bunch of blisters came in all at once. Would she be immune already?

Babies 6 months and under are at the greatest risk as they have the most fragile immune systems. Your baby being over six months might mean she has a little better chance of fighting it, but as another commenter said no one is “immune” to cold sores or the virus that causes them (hsv1). 
Best thing you can do now is keep a close eye on her. Contact your doctor immediately if there are any signs of HSV infection. These include low grade fever (100.4 degrees F., or more, rectally), poor feeding, irritability, and skin rash in the form of pimples or blisters, seizures or other similar symptoms that may develop within the next couple weeks.

Nobody is “immune” to cold sores. It’s likely that if you have it she will too eventually. Like 70% of the population has herpes in some form. As long as she doesn’t seem actually sick from it it’s ok.

So, yes and no. If you already had herpes type 1 when pregnant with her she would have a slightly harder time catching it. Even more harder if you didn't kiss an orpheus. Like her lips, eyes, nose. She is above the age of 4 months so I don't believe they would want her to have a tap and antivirals. I think maybe just a call to the pediatrician to let them know she has been exposed would be the best. 😊

Ugh this the worst. I get a cold sore like every few weeks 🙄😒 I HATE that I can’t kiss and love on my son! Keep an eye out and I’m sure it’ll all be ok! But I have been there! It sucks!!
